The choice of shape, pool surface, pool edging and pool size is a question of how you imagine the design and also of your budget.

With oval-and rectangular pools there is a recognisable tendency to go for the golden rule, which is (length = ½ width, for example 8 x 4 m) and to choose an elongated shape (for example 3 x 7; 4 x 10; 5 x 12 m)
